<p>PURPOSE:To ensure preferable operability and prevent rate of fuel consumption from reduction by maintaining controllably constant transmitting torque characteristics for the rotational speed of an engine in the engaged operation of an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:While the output of a rotational speed detecting means of an engine is supplied to the input of an exciting current adjusting means, the output of a required load detecting means is supplied to the input of a desired meet rotational speed determining means. The output of the determining means is supplied to the input of said exciting current adjusting means to complete the engagement of an electromagnetic clutch. In this process, the exciting current is adjusted such that the actual rotational speed of the engine coincides with the desired meet rotational speed. Thus, when the electromagnetic clutch is on the half-way to complete the engagement, the rotational speed of the engine is maintained at the desired meet one so that satisfactory operability and rate of fuel consumption can be provided in the start of vehicle in spite of the dispersion of transmitting torque characteristics, etc. for every engagement of the electromagnetic clutch.</p> |
