PURPOSE:To save the electric power in a DC drive mode and to increase the useful life of a device main body by performing a switching action to supply selectively the electric power to a part or the whole of a load as interlocked to a loading action of a case to the device main body. CONSTITUTION:A case contact 7 is moved to a position shown by a dotted line from a position shown by a solid line and connected to a contact 10 of a device main body. When a slide switch 3 is turned on, the power is supplied to all of loads 11, 12 and 14 from an AC converter 23 consisting of an AC power supply and a rectifier. Therefore the power is supplied to all loads in case an AC drive is carried out with an AC adaptor incorporating the converter 23 loaded to the main body 2 of a video tape recorded. When a battery case 1 is fitted, the switch 3 is turned off to supply the power to a load 14 excluding an RF output circuit 11 and a heater energizing circuit 12. As a result, the power consumption is reduced to increase the useful life of a battery. |
