PURPOSE:To access at random any file unit by attaining a matrix-shaped connection structure for the file units. CONSTITUTION:A processing system 3 or 4 has two block multiplexer chainnels BMC5 and 6 or BMC7 and 8. A disk controller 9 has two director parts 10 and 11. A director D1 of the part 10 is connected to adaptors P1-Pn. Therefore the systems 3 and 4 can access to disk units A1-An, B1-Bn,... via the controller 9 and adaptors P1-Pn. While a director D2 is connected to adaptors Q1-Qn and therefore the systems 3 and 4 can access disk units A1-An, B1-Bn... via the controlle 9 and adaptors Q1-Qn respectively. |
