<p>The oil-water mixt. passes through three stages in series in the separator. The first stage includes several plates over which the mixt. flows upwards. The surfaces of the plates are at least partially inclined w.r.t. the vertical. In the second stage, a coagulator is located, through which the mixt. flows upwards. The third stage incorporates a vertically arranged fine mesh which separates oil particles of molecular size. The separator is compact and suitable for ship-board application. Almost complete elimination of oil is achieved, enabling the separator to meet the latest legal requirements.</p> |
