MANUFACTURE OF BUTTON WITH SKIN LEATHER

PURPOSE:To elevate the productivity of buttons with skin leather so as to fuse a skin on one side thereof by providing a sheet-shaped circular flange section on the circumference of a core material while being cut at the fused part integrally. CONSTITUTION:A button comprises a core material 10 made of a thermoplastic resin and a skin 20 made of a thermoplastic resin covering the outer side of a hemispherical head 11 of the core material 10 and a mounting leg 12 is formed integral roughly at the center of the undersurface of the head 11 of the core material 10. The leg 12 of the core material 12 is fitted securely into a mounting substrate 31 buried into a sheet back and a skin material 20' is placed on the circumferential surface of the head 11. Thereafter, an ultrasonic welder phone 32 is put over it from above to impart an ultrasonic wave so that the skin material 20' is fused on the upper side of a circular flange section 13 of the core material 10' while the skin material 20' and the circular flange section 13 are cut integrally at the fused section along the circumferential shape of the button.
