PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ALPHA-OLEFIN POLYMERS

α-Olefin polymer is prepared from α-olefin in the presence of a preliminarily activated catalyst. The catalyst is composed of a solid product(III) and a reaction product(G) of organic aluminium compd. (A2 or A3), α-olefin, and an electron donor(B3). (III) is prepared from the reaction product(I) of organic aluminum compd. (A1) and ether, the reaction product(II) of titanium tetrachloride, an electron donor(B2), and an electron-capturing substance (E). (B1) and (B2) are ethers, and (E) is a halogen compd. of III or IV-group elements in the periodic table.
