This invention describes a device which, when the vehicle is parked, automatically displays the arrival time valid according to the STVO. When the vehicle moves, the dial is held non-positively together with the basic disc by means of a magnet. When the parking situation occurs, the magnetic effect is interrupted by the cut-off of the ignition voltage. Since the magnetic force no longer takes effect, the compression spring presses the dial into the indexing of the index disc. The indexing of the index disc is designed so that the elevation of the dial is pressed into the part of the indexing which indicates in the viewing aperture the mark of the half hour following the stopping time. When parking is interrupted, the dial is pulled by means of the magnetic force onto a spirally designed elevation of the basic disc. The counterpiece of this spirally designed elevation of the basic disc is located in the dial and causes the dial to rotate into the basic position of the basic disc.
