The invention relates to a rotatable cutting tool which is suitable, in conjunction with a rotary device, for the mowing or cutting of grass and undergrowth or trees. The cutting tool consists of a thin disc with a centrally arranged hole and a suitable number of small triangular cutting knives on the outer circumference of the disc. The triangular sawteeth are equipped with cutting edges which extend from the intersection point of the triangle along the two side flanks, one half of the small cutting knives pointing in one direction and the other half of the small cutting knives being oriented in the opposite direction, that is to say the tips of one row of the small cutting knives point respectively in one direction and the tips of the other row of small cutting knives point in the opposite direction. According to a preferred embodiment, the cutting tool is also equipped with a number of cutting knives which are larger than the small triangular cutting knives. The larger cutting knives preferably have a rectangular shape, these knives being equipped with cutting edges on the opposite side edges.
