PURPOSE:To improve the mixing of an air-fuel mixture in a high-load region and increase the combustion efficiency by forming a passage communicating between the primary and secondary intake passages near the injection direction of a fuel injection valve and providing an opening/closing valve on this passage. CONSTITUTION:A communicating passage 17 communicating between the primary and secondary intake passages 13, 14 is formed near the injection direction of a fuel injection valve 15. An opening/closing valve 18 is inserted between intermediate walls of this communicating passage 17. The opening/closing valve 18 is preset so as to be closed in a low-load region and to be opened in a high- load region. When the opening/closing valve 18 is opened in the high-load region, the fuel injected to the primary intake passage 6 through the fuel injection valve 15 is injected also the the secondary intake passage 7 via the communicating passage 17. Accordingly, the mixing of an air-fuel mixture is performed excellently and the combustion efficiency can be increased. |
