ELECTRODE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL MATRIX DISPLAY

PURPOSE:To prevent short circuiting of electrodes to each other in a stage for forming electrodes and to enable improvement in density and resolution by using a specific electrode construction. CONSTITUTION:A layer 9 which protects the 1st split electrodes is provided between the 1st belt-like lower split electrodes 10 and the 2nd belt-like upper split electrodes 11. The electrodes 10 and the electrodes 11 are arrayed in the same direction and are partly superposed on each other. The adjacent electrodes 10 or the electrodes 11 are not superposed in the other part. The respective electrodes 10, 11 are connected in the lead-out electrode parts 10' of the electrodes 10 and the lead-out electrode parts 11' of the electrodes 11. The electrodes 10, 11 are formed substantially widely by such constitution. Working efficiency and quality are improved without causing decrease in the yield and the higher density of the electrodes and the higher resolution are attained.
