The multi-pole line protective circuit breaker consists of single pole breakers whose front side handles are interconnected by an inserted bridge. The handles (6) have central recesses (7) on their front sides, which permit free play to the engaging lugs (8) of the bridge (9) in the longitudinal direction. The assembly is completed with latching elements. The front sides (10) of the single-pole breakers are provided with ribs (11) in the mid region (13) of the switch, extended up to the level of the handles covered by the bridge. These ribs are provided next to the OFF position of the handles. Preferably the recesses extend across the longitudinal direction of the bridge as windows which are engaged by the plugs.
