PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from adhering to an image bearing body in a short time by using a specified developer in a process of forming an image on said body including image development, image transfer and fixing, removal of the developer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A developer having a Vickers hardness (Hv) of >=3 is used for an image forming process. An original on a platen 11 is illuminated with an illumination system 21, and the reflected light passes through a converging light transmitting body 22 and forms an image on the surface of a photosensitive body 18. Copying papers P in a cassette 13 are guided one by one under the body 18, and the toner image formed by developing a latent image with a developer in a developing device 19 is transferred to the paper P with a transfer mechanism 15. This developer has the outer surface formed with a resin contg. a pigment, and its surface hardness is as follows: 3<=Hv<=10. The paper P is conveyed with a conveyor 16 and fixed with the fixing mechanism 17, and the image fixed paper is ejected on a tray 12. As a result, the developer is prevented from adhering to the body 18 in a short time because of the repetition of the image forming process by forming an image using the developer having a Vickers hardness (Hv) of >=3. |
