PURPOSE:To secure a normally optimum ignition position and enable enlargement of a combustion range even if a kind of combustion gas varies, and to stabilize an oscillating frequency and combustion efficiency, by a method wherein a flame retainer body is disposed along a direction in which mixture of the air for combustion and fuel gas flows. CONSTITUTION:A mixing condition of fuel gas and the air for combustion is improved at a portion located a specified distance downstream from a gas port 3 and an air port 2, and the mixture is ignited, in order, from a place where temperature is increased to higher than a specified value. The use of a hydrogen series fuel instead of a methane series fuel causes an ignition position to be unstabilized. However, a flame retainer body 30, being increased to a high temperature point, is disposed within a mixing chamber 1 or a combustion chamber 5 along a direction in which the mixture flows, and this stabilizes an ignition position and a pulse oscillating frequency and increases a combustion range. The flame retainer body 30 is formed by a ceramic material or a metallic material, and is of a fine-sized rod material, the one end is secured to the side wall of said mixing chamber 1, while the other end extends through the mixing chamber 1 into the combustion chamber 5. |
