Fuel feed device on a diesel engine

A light fuel circuit (1) and a heavy fuel circuit (2) are provided for alternate feeding of the diesel engine (5). The light fuel circuit also serves for cooling of the injection nozzles and for preheating of the injection pumps of the diesel engine (5). By means of the feed pump (4) and the pressure regulator (8) the pressure P1 is maintained in the light fuel circuit and the diesel engine is fed by way of an OR element (7). In the heavy fuels circuit (2), when the reversing unit (13) is opened, a pressure of less than P1 prevails and the heavy oil circulates in the circuit (2) from the tank (9) by way of the feed pump (10) and the fuel preheater (11) back into the tank (9). When the reversing unit (13) is closed, a pressure P2, which is greater than the pressure P1, builds up in the heavy oil circuit. The OR element (7) thereupon blocks the light oil feed (5) and feeds heavy oil to the diesel engine (5). By means of the device, a simple and, thanks to the few shut-off elements, reliable operational switching between the two types of fuel is possible.
