According to the method, a high-frequency signal is modulated by means of a low-frequency signal B. Uniformly spaced logic synchronising signals are generated, preferably with frequency greater than the passband of the receiver. These logic synchronising signals trigger other logic signals whose duration varies linearly as a function of the amplitude of the low-frequency signal and the high-frequency signal is partitioned by means of these logic signals of variable duration to obtain a succession of high-frequency signals F of constant amplitude but of variable duration t1, t2, t3 ... corresponding to that of the abovementioned signals.
