PURPOSE:To detect an over level accurately, by picking up a PCM signal recorded on a recorder and monitoring the production of an over level state. CONSTITUTION:An audio signal is converted into a PCM signal of a TV signal format in a recording circuit 5 of a PCM audio adaptor 4 and inputted to a recorder 1 via a PCM output line 2. The recorder 1 records the said PCM signal and picks up and branches the said PCM signal as monitor and delivers it to a playback side signal processing circuit 7 of a playback section 6 via a line 3 and it is picked up as an analog monitor signal via a 14-bit serial shift register 8, latch circuit 9 and D/A converter 10. The output of the register 8 is inputted to an over level detection circuit 12 to check if the signal corresponds to a signal corresponding to the over level, (0111...11) or (1000...00). If over level, the output indicating the over level is displayed on a display circuit 14 together with left and right channel. |
