<p>PURPOSE:To dephosphorize effectively a molten Cr steel contg. specified percentages of Cr, C and Si by adding a flux consisting of specified amounts of CaC2, CaO and NaF or Na3AlF6 to the molten Cr steel. CONSTITUTION:To a molten Cr steel contg. >=3.0% Cr as well as C and Si adjusted to 0.5-3.0% C and <=0.5% Si is added a flux consisting of 0.5-5% CaC2, 0.2-3% CaO and 0.1-1% NaF or Na3AlF6 basing on the amount of the molten Cr steel. The starting material having a high P content can be dephosphorized up to a satisfactorily low P level.</p> |
