An electrical installation apparatus, especially a line-protection circuit breaker constructed with a base, which is suitable for snapping on to standard profiled supporting rails, additionally has two retaining parts (13, 14) which are detachably fitted to the narrow sides of the installation apparatus. At one end, each retaining part (13, 14) has projections (32, 33) which are allocated to one another like forks, are pushed on to the installation apparatus (10) from the narrow side edges for assembly, surrounding the installation apparatus on both sides on the broad sides, and are firmly latched to the broad sides. The other end of the retaining parts (13, 14) has lugs (15, 16) which run, at right angles, to the exterior, so that the installation apparatus can be mounted on a switch-panel wall (20) by means of these lugs and by means of two screw connections (21, 22). <IMAGE>
