<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a molding material injected into a cover body from penetrating into a horn switch by forming a rib body, with which said horn switch is brought in contact, on said cover body in a device in which said horn switch is provided between an energy absorbing body and said cover body. CONSTITUTION:When molding, a cover body 11 is previously molded with a soft plastic material and, after that, only a male die 15 is released leaving the cover body 11 held in a female die 12. Then, a horn switch 13 is inserted into the cover body 11, in which a rib 14, which is brough in contact with the whole periphery of the contact plate 13a of the switch 13, is projectingly provided on the end of the inner surface, where the switch 13 is to be set. Then, the male die 15 is covered over the female die 12, pressing the switch 13 against the rib 14 by means of its pressing cylinder 15a and carrying out the closure of mold. And, brittle plastic is injected through an injection port 15b of a male die 15, to be filled into the internal space in the cover body 11. In this case, the brittle plastic is prevented from penetrating into the switch 13 because of the rib 14.</p> |
