NEW MATERIAL:The protein essentially free from nucleoside phosphotransferase, and having the following characteristics. (a) Molecular weight; 5,000-160,000 determined from the relationship between the elution of the high-speed liquid chromatography and the molecular weight using thioglobin (molecular weight: 670,000), bovine gamma- globulin (158,000), avian ovoalbumin (44,000), bird myoglobin (17,000) and vitamin B12 (1,350) as marker proteins, (b) composed mainly of acidic amino acid and neutral amino acid and containing relatively large amount of glutamic acid and aspartic acid as the acidic amino acid, and (c) having cell proliferation acceleration activity. USE:Remedy for wound. The effect can be improved by the combined use of a zinc compound. PREPARATION:A bacterial strain selected from Clostridium genus, Staphylococcus genus, Bacillus genus, etc. is cultured, and the objective protein is separated from the cultured cell or cultured liquid. |
