PURPOSE:To make small in size and to improve the reliability in insulating property of the titled electric machine by a method wherein the insulation of the supporting insulator of a winding is conducted by the cooling medium used therein. CONSTITUTION:Windings 2 and 3 are arranged concentrically with an iron core, and they are housed in an airtight case 4. Non-condensing SF gas and the cooling medium 6 such as flon and the like, as the refrigerant with which the evaporative latent heat generating when a liquid is converted to gas, are sealed in the airtight case 4. The cooling medium 6 is fed into the upper fittings 9 by a pump 7, and it is turned to the collected cooling medium 6A. The evaporated refrigerant is cooled by a cooler 5, and it is returned to the case 4. Also, the cooling medium 6A drips from the hole 10 of the upper fittings 9 and once accumulates in a refrigerant receiver 12. As said cooling medium 6 has insulating property, the insulating efficiency between windings 2 and 3 and the metal fittings 9 and 9A can be improved. |
