PURPOSE:To obtain uniform quality of printing even when ambient temperature is changed by providing a printing pressure regulator and also by incorporating a temperature compensator. CONSTITUTION:A printing pressure regulator 10 is capable of freely setting the value of exciting current within a fixed range from the condition that detection voltage is not put in the negative side input terminal of a differential amplifier 33 by varying the movable terminal position of the variable resistance 42 of a voltage detection circuit 40, and therefore, printing pressures can be freely set up. A thermister 47 as a temperature compensator is provided between the voltage-dividing resistor 41a of the voltage detection circuit 40 and the variable resistor 42. In the printing pressure regulator circuit 10 of such a constitution, when the ambient temperature of printer is raised, the resistance value of the thermister 47 is lowered, and the printing pressure raised by change of mechanical characteristics due to the temperature rise is automatically restored to original optimal pressure. Uniform printing quality can thus be maintained. |
