PURPOSE:To improve the effect of heat radiation in an apparatus and to prevent thermal influence to a prism cover by admitting outside air to the inside of the apparatus via the through-holes formed to the prism cover. CONSTITUTION:When a lamp 2 is lighted and generates heat, the temp. in a lamp body 1 rises and the warmed air ascends and is released throught the respective heat radiating holes 8 formed to the body 1 to the outside of the body 1. The air on the outside of the body 1 flows into the body 1 while ascending therein through the respective through-holes formed to a prism cover 4 provided in the lower open part of the body 1. The air flowing into the body 1 suppresses the temp. rise and cools the body 1, a reflecting plate 3 and the cover 4. This air is thereafter warmed by the heat of the lamp 2 and is released through the holes 8 to the oustide. The air on the outside of the body 1 is thus always taken in into the body 1 through the holes 7 of the cover 4 in the above-mentioned way, by which the temp. rise in the body 1 is thoroughly suppressed and the thermal deformation of the cover 4 consisting of a plastic is prevented. |
