PURPOSE:To detect the accurate size of an original during conveyance by providing a selecting means which selects one of plural signal generating means and a control means which controls a conveying means according to a signal from the selected signal generating means. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with the conveying means which feeds an original and plural signal generating means which generate a series of signals. One of the plural signal generating means is selected by the selecting means, which switches a signal generating means corresponding to the conveying means as its front stage to a signal generating means corresponding to the conveying means as its rear stage according to the timing where the original is not applied with conveying force from the front-stage conveying means. Thus, the size, etc., of the original during conveyance are detected accurately. |
