PURPOSE:To ensure the effective use of a stack by attaining the execution and control of two processes without taking the division of stack into consideration. CONSTITUTION:The area of a stack 1 is filled with data toward an arrow head in response to the progress of a process A or B. The process B progresses when the process A is set under a waiting mode, and vice versa. The divided areas of processes A and B are shown successively as DELTAA(n), DELTAA(n-1), DELTAA(n-2), DELTAB(m), DELTAB(m-1) and DELTAB(m-2) in order of later ones. Now if the n-th data, i.e., DELTAA(n) of the process A is under execution, a PTR register 3 serving as a pointer showing a process which is under execution indicates the utmost tip part of data DELTAA(n) of the process A. While an APT register 2 serving as a pointer showing the address of a process which is not under execution stores the address of the position of the utmost tip 15 of data DELTAB(m) of the process B. A control circuit 11 controls a process control table 10. |
