This universal lock unit 9 is intended to be substituted for the lock unit of an existing security installation of the type with multiple locking points for the protection of an opening such as door, in order to increase the reliability of the protection without complete replacement of the security installation. It comprises short link rods 19 which are fitted at their ends with travel and/or position compensating parts 20 for the connection of these link rods to the link rods 4 of an existing security installation. These parts can be in the form of plates 20 attached at 21 to the link rods 19 and extending laterally, these plates being provided for example with oblong holes 22 for connection to the existing link rods 4. <IMAGE> |
