PURPOSE:To reduce load due to a tilt angle of a pendulum as well as to make tilting drive attainable in an optional manner, by constituting an auxiliary thrust in a pushing cylinder fitted with a brake mechanism in the optional tilt angle of the pendulum so as to be optionally settable. CONSTITUTION:In case of a pendulum balancer mechanism for a spherical polisher suitable to an auxiliary pushing thrust mechanism for auxiliary use of a pendulum subjecting a heavy load, the pendulum 1 is required to be titled to a specified polishing position where a work 2 being locked onto a rotary table 6 is mounted thereon. Next, when a tilt angle of the pendulum 1 is small, a thrust is as well small whereby the pendulum is tilted with a driving motor 7. When the tilt angle is larger enough, a pushing cylinder 9 detects a limit switch 10 through a dog 11 at the other end of the pendulum 1 and feeds the pushing thrust by means of setting pressure in an air regulator and a solenoid valve. Thus, load due to the tilt angle of the pendulum is reduced and tilting drive is smoothly carried out. |
