PURPOSE:To cancel the distortion of a spot on a magnetic medium exactly by deforming the spot of a laser beam previously. CONSTITUTION:The shape of the previously distorted spot 20 of a recording laser is deformed as shown by 21 and 22 by the movement of the medium and heat effect. Therefore, rectangular bit recording and high-density recording are attained. They are reproduced sufficiently with a normal magnetic head as a matter of course, but the latter is very suitable to reproduction using a laser beam. The beam 6 of the laser 7 passes through the screen 25 having a lens 4 and a slit 27 in a laser recording system to form a spot 26 on the magnetic surface 1. The shape of the slit 27 is determined in consideration of diffraction so that the spot 26 is formed. |
