Known seats/beds of this type cannot be adapted precisely to the proportions of the body, e.g. lower-leg rest etc. This is now achieved in that a double wedge with a support plane of differing length is provided, on which double wedge a single wedge is longitudinally displaceable, specifically, as required, on the short or the long plane of the double wedge. A depression for the lower-leg support is thus easily adjustable. Furthermore, both wedges are connected to one another so as to be longitudinally displaceable by means of a perforated rubber band with which they can be fixed in their position. During fitting, the single wedge, together with the head cushion, serves for supporting the back while, in this case, the double wedge serves as a lying surface for the lower part of the body. The two plates of the head cushion, having corresponding hollow spaces, are firmly connected to one another. The marking of each of the four head support positions is situated on the outside of the cushion cover.
