Situated in a housing permanently surrounded outwards by liquid chambers which are separated by elastic/rigid walls and whose axial boundary walls can be displaced or have a variable buckling radius. Since the liquid chambers are filled with media of different refractive power, the optical behaviour of this structure can be influenced thereby. Given that all the movable components are kept at the same density, this system cannot be influenced by gravity and other accelerations.
