The invention relates to a device for the formation of a heap lying on the ground for crops, especially for field fodder, by means of a conveying and pressing device in conjunction with a shaping box 5 to be opened on its rear side and with a closing device 6 for the lower side, open during filling, of the shaping box. In Figure 1, the shaping box 5 and the closing device 6 are in the filling position. To terminate the filling, the closing device 6 travels upwards and is connected to the shaping box 5 by means of the bolt 11. Subsequently, the closing device 6 and the shaping box 5, with its guide journal 7, slide downwards in the guide track 8 in the transport position. There, the two are retained on the frame 1 by means of the bolt 12. After the frame 1 has been lowered onto the ground, the closing device 6 is drawn from under the shaping box 5 and the heap 13 comes to rest on the ground. The shaping box rises during the subsequent raising of the frame 1 and releases the heap 13. After the unlocking of the rear wall 4 and upward pivoting, the device can be moved away from the deposited heap 13. The returning closing device 6 moves the shaping box 5 into the filling position by way of the guide track 8. <IMAGE>
