PURPOSE:To enable exact detection of contained powder volume in a main vessel without being affected by vibration or the like by installing in the main vessel a subsidiary vessel displacing in the direction rectangular to the vibration. CONSTITUTION:A movable subsidiary vessel 6 is installed in a toner recovery container 2 and supported with a support plate 5 to float is bottom plate 8. When a toner recovered from a cleaning unit accumulates on the vessel 6, the support plate 5 hanging the rising piece 7 of the vessel 6 energized with a coil spring 10 gradually declines downward. On the other hand, a shutter arm 9 fixed on a shaft 4 on the outside of the cover 1 is clockwise turned and its end is brought into a limit switch installed in a part of a member for supporting the container 2, and an amt. of toner filled in the container 2 is detected. During the recovery of the toner, the container 2 is continuously or intermittently shaked, but since its vibration acts in the longitudinal direction of the vessel 6, it does not cause misaction of the arm 9. |
