The aim is to achieve maximum speed fluctuations of +/- 1.0<o>/oo and especially in the region of +/- 0.1<o>/oo. This is achieved by a comparison between the desired value of the winding speed and the actual value of the circumferential speed of the bobbin and by linking the deviation signal obtained with the spindle-speed signal by means of a multiplier. In one embodiment, in addition to the comparison of the analog signals, a comparison of the digital signals is also carried out; in addition, the yarn pull can be entered as a correcting value into the control circuit.
