PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a bad smell and to improve quality of powdered blood, by spraying steam into a blood stirrer to coagulate protein and to precipitate water simultaneously, dehydrating the prepared clotted blood, drying it. CONSTITUTION:Blood obtained from butchered animal is sent from the inner bottom of the blood collecting tank 6 to the interior 11 by the pump 7. The blood is sprayed with steam from the boiler 15, so that protein in the blood is coagulated and water in the blood is precipitated. It is then sent to the dehydrator 16, water is removed, and a water-containing solid material is separated. The water-containing solid material is sent to the grinder 22, cut into pieces, and water in the interior is exposed to the open air. The finely cut water-containing solid material is sent to the warm air dryer 28, and dried to 15wt% water content. Consequently, high-quality homogeneous and fine powdered blood is obtained. |
