PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the titled apparatus irrespective of the adoption of two-stage heating, by extending a belt conveyor in inverted T state in a vertically elongated heating chamber, carrying out preheating of meat paste in ascending stage of the conveyor and reheating in the descending stage. CONSTITUTION:A vertically elongated heating chamber 10 contains a belt con veyor 30 circulating along an inverted T orbit. Both ends of the lower horizon tally moving part of the conveyor 30 are exposed from the front and the rear parts of the heating chamber. A steam nozzle 13a is attached to a front wall plate 11a of the heating chamber opposite to the ascending stage of the conveyor 30 and a rear wall panel 11b opposite to the descending stage of the conveyor is furnished with a waveguide 14 for microwave and a steam nozzle 13a. A meat paste web P transferred by the conveyor 30 is imparted with toughness by the steam heating in the ascending stage, quickly passes through a regenera tion temperature zone in the descending stage by the combined use of microwave heating and steam heating and reheated to the final temperature. |
