PURPOSE:To make it possible to use the titled device for both magnetic and non- magnetic developers by forming an exciter layer on an electrode plate to which alternate power supply is impressed to form a particle electrostatic charge carrying plate, and while vibrating the carrying plate, carrying the developer like a uniform layer. CONSTITUTION:The exciter layer 6b is formed on the electrode plate 6a to which the alternate power supply 7 is impressed to form the article electrostatic charge carrying plate 6 and the carrying plate 6 is vibrated by a vibration means 8 to constitute a carrying means 5 of the developer 4. The developer 4 is carried to a photosensitive body 1 by a carrying means 5 to develope an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photosensitive body 1. Since the developer 4 is charged electrostatically and carried by the electrostatic charge carrying plate 6 consisting of the electrode plate 6a and the exciter layer 6b, both the magnetic single-component developer and non-magnetic single-component developer can be used and the development is not restricted by the developer. Since it is unnecessary to use a carrier, deterioration is not generated even if the device is used for a long period, so that its maintenance can be easily executed. In addition, a uniform thin layer is formed during the carriage, so that the constitution can be simplified without using a trimer. |
