PURPOSE:To hold satisfactorily a gel packed layer by constituting so that a plug body connected to a column tube made of glass can move, and closing up a gap of the upper end part of a gel, which is generated by feeding a liquid. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid is fed into a column tube 17 made of glass from a center hole 19 of a plug body, a quantity of gel in the tube decreases in accordance with reaction, and a gap is generated on the upper part of the column tube 17. When such a gap is generated, first of all, an adjusting nut 2 is rotated, and a push cylinder 3 is made to descend together with a sliding shaft 5 and an inner shaft, and moved into the port of the column tube 17, by which the gap is closed up. Its moving extent depends on the extent of a guide gap 20 formed in the inside of a main cylinder 1. Also, when a seal nut 4 is rotated at a suitable place, an elastic packing 8 adhering to the inside of the port of the column tube 17 is placed between the lower end of the push cylinder 3 and a filter case 7 fixed to the terminal part of the inner shaft 6, bulged to the outside, adheres tightly to the wall in the port of the column tube 17, and the internal pressure of the tube is maintained. |
