END FACE TYPE THERMAL HEAD

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the printing quality with improved straightness and flatness of a heat generating body train by providing a holding area between image signal electrodes refined to the main flat surface of a heat generating substrate to be held on a base with a holding plate. CONSTITUTION:In a heat generating body substrate 14, a plurality of heat generating bodies 13a are formed at the end face thereof in a train and an image signal electrode 14a on one side of the main surface while a common electrode 14b on the other side thereof. The image signal electrode is faned into the array pitch of the heat generating body train on the end side thereof not contacting the image signal electrode, where a grasping area 14c is provided. Then, the heat generating body substrate 14 is fixed temporarily on a base 15 with a double-side adhesive tape or the like and the holding area 14c is pressed and held with a thin part of the holding plate 15a and fixed with a set screw 15b. This improves the straightness and the flatness of the heat generating body train of the heat generating body substrate having a curve to elevate the printing quality while minimizing the restrictive conditions in the design.
