PURPOSE:To eliminate errors in reading image information, by constituting a label of a transfer sheet having a transfer layer comprising a coloring agent, a thermoplastic substance and a thermoplastic resin and a receiving sheet having a receiving layer comprising a filler having a specified oil absorption on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A coloring agent, a thermoplastic substance and a thermoplastic resin are applied to a base in the form of a heat-fusible mixture to provide a transfer layer, thereby producing the transfer sheet. A filler having an oil absorption of not less than 50ml/100g is applied to the surface of a base such as a paper and a plastic film together with a binder to provide a receiving layer, and a releasable base paper is adhered to the back side of the base through a conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive layer so that the base can be adhered to a solid surface, thereby producing the receiving sheet. The said transfer sheet and receiving sheet are laminated on each other so that the transfer layer makes close contact with the receiving layer, thereby obtaining a thermal transfer recording type label. The filler may be diatomaceous earth, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide or the like. |
