<p>PURPOSE:To enable uniform development by forming fine colored patterns on a substrate by water development using a water soluble resin resist. CONSTITUTION:A volume expandable material layer 7 is formed on a water soluble resin layer 6 formed to fine pattern shapes on the transparent substrate 5. A 1st coloring layer contg. at least a solvent soluble resin and a shielding layer 9 or the 1st coloring layer 8, the shielding layer 9, and the 2nd coloring layer 10 are formed in this order on the substrate 5 and over the entire surface on the substrate 5 including the expandable material layer 7 to the pattern shapes. The substrate is thereafter immersed in a water-base solvent to expand the expandable material layer 7 and to generate a difference in height between the part formed with the layer and the part not formed with the layer, by which the laminated structures 8-10 made of the solvent soluble resin coated continuously on the layer are embrittled. The water soluble resin layer 6 is then dissolved by the water development and the laminated structures 8-10 on the layer 6 are removed to form the fine patterns on the substrate 5. The uniform development is thereby executed.</p> |
