发明名称 METHOD FOR MEASURING PLATE THICKNESS OF STEEL PLATE OR THE LIKE
摘要 PURPOSE:To attain measurement with fidelity to the real distribution of plate thickness by setting up a newly found plate thickness value as the finally determined plate thickness value when the difference between the newly found plate thickness value and the preceding finally determined plate thickness value exceeds a prescribed value in a radiation transmission type plate thickness measuring method using moving average operating method. CONSTITUTION:Radiant rays are continuously irradiated in the longitudinal direction of a steel plate, individual plate thickness value is found by detecting the quantity of transmitted radiant rays and then the finally decided plate thickness value is successively found out by the moving average operating method. The difference between a plate thickness value found from a new detecting value and the average plate thickness value obtained by averaging the preceding finally decided plate thickness value or a newly found plate thickness value is found out and the difference is compared with an allowable value (maximum value) normally considered as an error due to the statistic variation of the intensity of radiation of a radiation source. When said difference exceeds the allowable value, only the newly found plate thickness value is determined as the finally decided plate thickness value.
