PURPOSE:To provide a long life, compact, and low cost stacked secondary battery capable of relatively high rate discharge by using a positive electrode comprising CuxTiS2 active material, copper ion conductive solid electrolyte, and an irreversible copper negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:50mg of RbCu4I1.5Cl3.5 as an electrolyte layer 3, 50mg of the mixture of weight ratio of 50:50 of Cu0.2TiS2 and RbCu4Cl3.5 as a positive mix 2, and 100mg of the mixture of weight ratio of 48:32:20 of Cu powder, Cu2S, and RbCu4I1.5Cl3.5 as a negative mix are pressed in a disk form to form a unit cell 1. A plurality of unit cells 1 are stacked on top of each other in series with carbon paste 5 interposed between adjacent positive and negative electrodes. Electrode leads 6 and 7 are bonded to both positive and negative ends of stacked cells with carbon pasts 8 and 9. The stacked cells are covered with thermo- setting or photosetting resin 10 to form a secondary battery. |
