PURPOSE:To simply and exactly measure draft of a ship by a method in which the surface of still water is formed in a ship through a communication tube having an opening at a position which would not be affected by waves below the draft line and its level is measured. CONSTITUTION:Fluid in the outside of the hull is introduced into a ship through a communication tube 2 having an opening at a position practically not affected by waves, below the draft line 5 of the ship, in order to form the surface of still water in the ship. The surface level of the still water is measured by utilizing a float 4, etc., and the draft can thus be measured simply and exactly. |
