<p>Bin for domestic refuse and garden rubbish consists of a rectangular frame in the shape of a truncated pyramid with a sliding lid on top, a bottom angle frame and a top angle frame, joined by parallel sheet metal slats. The corner slats have a line of perforations into which the bent hooks of stays can be inserted when the frame is raised up to accept more rubbish or to extract compost at the bottom. The area around the bottom, exposed by the raising, is covered by plastic foils which can be hooked into the perforations to give access. This admits adequate amts. of air for the aerobic composting process and facilitates the adjustment for height.</p> |
