A slide-and-swing door having at least one swing wing and one sliding wing possesses, on its swing wing, a supporting column confronting the frame post of the door frame. This supporting column forms with its centre a vertical swing axis, about which the outer surface of the supporting column extends in a curve partially following an arc of a circle. Brush strips sealing off the air gap are arranged between the outer surface and a counter-profile located on the frame post. The sliding wing of the slide-and-swing door is connected at the top via a bearing axle to a running carriage movable in the door plane and is held displaceably at the bottom via a sliding joint in a floor guide groove, so that, if required, it can swing open. For the unimpeded swinging movement of the swing wing into the fully open position, on the one hand, and for the fixed connection of the supporting column to commercially available frame profiles of the swing wing, the circle arc forming the outer surface of the supporting column is extended beyond the centre of rotation of the swing axis in the direction of the swing wing and merges into a chord-like connecting wall. |
