PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a digital comparator and at the same time to realize a desired comparison function over a wide range, by using only two sequential RAMs and a circuit means to write data to these RAMs. CONSTITUTION:Optional number of the primary RAM1 and 2 and the secondary RAM3 are connected to constitute a digital comparator. In a basic constitution shown in the diagram, the comparing input data X is logically projected to a space T by the RAM1 and 2 and this space T is projected to the output data Z by the RAM3. Thus a desired result can be obtained by the way of said projection, and this way of projection is decided by the contents written to each RAM. Therefore it is possible to obtain a comparator having an optional function by having a means that can write an optional data to each RAM. |
