A telephone circuit for ensuring a defined loop breaking in order to allow a telephone central or a local exchange to detect the interruption of the main current consumption of a subscriber set at the end of a telephone line for a defined laps of time, characterized in that this circuit is supplied with current via the telephone line parallelly with the equipments ensuring the main subscriber set functions, and that this circuit includes means for ensuring the nearly complete interruption of the current supply of the equipments ensuring the main subscriber set functions while maintaining a restricted current supply in favour of said circuit, sufficient for its own operation.
