PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts items as well as to miniaturize a recording medium feed mechanism as a whole, by controlling a feed mechanism so as to drive the c.w.-c.c.w. rotation of a feed roller and the rotation of a movable blade of a cutter for driving with a single motor. CONSTITUTION:A feed roller 3 is rotatively driven by the counterclockwise rotation of a motor 1 till a cut spot of each recording paper 17 resistered by a recording head reaches to a point between a stationary blade 14 and a movable blade 15 and then the recording paper 17 is conveyed forward. Next, when the cut spot of the paper 17 is conveyed to the point between both blades 14 and 15, a pin 9 is detected by a detection device 16, rotating the motor 1 clockwise for selection, and the feed roller shaft 3 is detached from the motor 1, while a gear 6a engaging a gear 4 is turned round counterclockwise, making a one-way clutch 6 into operation, and a cam 8 installed in a shaft 7 is rotated in the same direction, then the movable blade 15 is pushed upward via the pin 9 and a lever 10, and the recording paper 7 is cut off by the joint action of both blades 14 and 15. Afterward, further the motor 1 is turned round clockwise, putting the movable blade 15 back in its original position, and the feed roller 3 is rotated in the same direction, thus the recording paper 17 being left over from the cutting is put back to a record starting position. |
