PURPOSE:To obtain carrier particles which increase mechanical strength and do not deteriorate the quality of a developed image in long time use by providing a coating layer consisting of a silicone resin contg. fine titanium oxide particles on the surface of nucleous particles. CONSTITUTION:Ordinarily used materials such as non-metals, metals, metallic alloys, etc., for example, sand, cobalt, iron, copper, nickel, zinc, aluminum, brass, glass, etc. having 10-1,000mu, more preferably 30-500mu average grain size are usable as the nucleous particles of a carrier to be coated with a silicone resin. The compsn. for the coating layer is prepd. by adding fine titanium oxide particles into a silicone resin soln. and dispersing the same with a suitable mixer. The fine titanium oxide particles to be dispersed in the coating layer is preferably of about 0.2-5mu grain size and are added preferably at 2-30pts.wt., more preferably 5-20pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. the silicone resin. |
