PURPOSE:To improve the thermal conductivity and electric insulation without toxicity by forming a discharge tube of silicon carbide. CONSTITUTION:A discharge tube remarkably generates heat in the entire tube due to continuous discharge formed between electrodes. The tube is simultaneously required for both thermal conductivity and electric insulation. Particularly, the thermal conductivity (W.m<-1>. deg.K<-1>) must be at least 200 or more, and the specific resistance (OMEGA.cm) must be 10<13> or higher. Silicon carbide can satisfy them, and has no toxicity for human body. |
